Japanese Satsuma “Thousand Faces” Vase
£150.00
A beautifully decorated Japanese Satsuma “Thousand Faces” vase, standing approximately 10cm tall. The surface is densely covered with finely painted faces, each individually detailed and framed by rich patterned decoration with gilt highlights throughout.
Despite its small scale, this piece has real presence and rewards close inspection — the level of detail is impressive, with no two faces quite the same. A classic and highly collectible Satsuma style, perfect for a cabinet display or alongside other Japanese ceramics.
Presented in excellent condition with no damage, making it a very pleasing example.
