This lovely uranium glass Hyacinth vase is a great example of historic British glassmaking, made by Thomas Webb & Sons — a name with deep roots in Stourbridge’s glassmaking heritage. Webb moved his works to Dennis Hall, Amblecote, in the mid-1800s, a site with glassmaking history going back to the 17th century.
The vase itself has a soft, elegant form and glows beautifully under UV light thanks to the uranium content in the glass — a must for collectors who love that classic green glow.
A nice piece if you’re after something a bit different for your collection. Feel free to get in touch if you’d like more info or photos.
