This striking art glass vase was designed by Samuel J. Herman for the renowned Belgian glassworks Val Saint Lambert in the 1970s. Standing at approximately 29cm tall, it showcases Herman’s distinctive style—organic, layered forms with a fusion of colour and texture.
Made in Belgium, this piece blends cool aqua blue tones with swirling decorative bands and abstract patterns that shift in detail depending on the angle. It’s a beautiful example of studio glass from the era and feels just as contemporary today.
The vase is in wonderful condition with no chips, cracks, or visible wear. A fantastic addition to any collection of mid-century or studio art glass.
