A striking sculptural glass vase from Zelezny Brod Glassworks, designed by Miloslav Klinger. This is design no. 70214, made in blue and clear cased glass, standing at around 12 inches tall. The form is elegant and bold—very much in line with mid-century Czech glass design.
This exact piece is referenced in Hi Sklo Lo Sklo by Mark Hill (page 47), making it a well-documented example of Klinger’s work for ZBS. A lovely mix of artistic shape and craftsmanship, and a nice example of Czech modernist glass.
